Pros from Dover
|       |
We were the Pros from Dover long before we became Drinks on the House. We never made a dime as the Pros (we've made more than twice that amount as DOTH), but we always had fun. On February 26, 1994, we played at a party in Garland, Texas. A friend set his camcorder behind the crowd to record the event for posterity. Our performance was not flawless, but it was easily the best we'd done up to that point. And it was a lot of fun, too. Although the camcorder's audio quality was limited, the continually running video preserved not just the songs of that evening, but also our banter with each other and our interaction with the audience. We dubbed the video to an audio cassette, made a few copies, and distributed the tapes to those who had attended the party. |

Soon others asked for the tape, and we sent additional copies to friends and family who missed that show, but who had enjoyed the Pros at previous events. A month later, we created and distributed the companion booklet (below left) for the "popular cassette tape." |
